Mr. Fineman’s practice is dedicated to representing consumers in complex consumer class actions against national and international corporations, organizations, and government entities that have engaged in unlawful, unfair, and fraudulent business practices. He has helped millions of consumers vindicate cumulative wrongs and obtain significant monetary awards, injunctive relief, and institutional changes in over one hundred certified class actions.
Mr. Fineman prevailed in a number of consumer class actions over the past twenty-five years including his success in the largest multi-party gift certificate and gift card class action in California history against twenty-two international and national retailers, including Target Stores, J.C. Penney, and Barnes & Noble. Mr. Fineman also served as lead class counsel in the seminal privacy rights case Florez v. Linens ‘N Things, Inc. As a result of his efforts, the California Supreme Court affirmed California's first ever decision prohibiting retailers from requesting and recording addresses and telephone numbers from consumers during credit card purchases. Mr. Fineman serves as the California Co-State Chair for the National Association of Consumer Advocates and is active in numerous other legal rights organizations. PRACTICE AREAS

Education: Mr. Fineman received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and received a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. He also attended the esteemed Oxford Institute on International and Comparative Law at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England.
